The Sing With Power
Voice Teacher Certification Program

The SING WITH POWER® VOICE Teacher Certification program helps both brand new teachers, as well as experienced voice teachers become extremely effective, successful, legitimately certified teachers. The program guides teachers to give their students the technical ability to sing with terrific range, power, freedom and control, in any style, all with “connected” voices that won't “break” at any point in the range.

THE DESIGNATION

There are many voice teachers out there. How does one decide who to take lessons from? What qualifications does the teacher have? These are two of the most common questions potential voice students have when seeking a vocal instructor / vocal coach. Though there are many voice teachers teaching, the reality is that almost NONE of them every trained to teach voice. They took lessons themselves, and maybe even received a degree in vocal performance, but they were never taught how to identify and correct the vocal imbalances of others. As a result, there is a learning curve that takes years for these teachers, if they ever learn to teach well at all.

When people see that a voice coach or teacher has taken the time to actually intensely study vocal instruction, so much so that they have received a professional vocal teaching certification, they know that they are studying with someone who takes the study of vocal instruction very seriously. They can trust that the instructor has pursued a higher standard than simply studying lessons for personal application and then hoping they can help others. The designation of Certified Voice Teacher (and this is true in just about any field of study) demonstrates to prospective singing students a commitment one has to teaching excellence.

The Sing With Power Voice Teacher Certification Program was designed to help both new and current voice teachers gain the skills to confidently teaching singing students to improve dramatically in as short a time as possible. The focus on learning the principles and processes of teaching others is critical to becoming a great teacher which is demonstrated by the completion of the Voice Teacher Certification designation.

"Eric is so enthusiastic about his students' progress! That is very important to me because my voice makes money for me. Being in musical theatre for 27 years, I know proper technique is everything. He has taught me that even at my age and experience, I still have to take care of my voice with proper technique and knowledge. He also showed me that I had a least 4 extra high notes I didn't even know existed for me....Thanks, Eric!!!"

THE COST

You will pay relatively little for the certification process, and you won't need a college degree to be a highly effective teacher. The average college graduate who makes about $50,000 per year, paid an average cost of $38,600 for that degree. What about voice teachers? For about the same cost of one semester at a community college, as a Certified Private Voice Teacher, you can make that same $50,000 per year teaching only 20 hours per week!

It is actually Eric's goal to have your new students paying for the certification process for you, even if you have no students to start with. Believe it or not, even before your certification is completed you will start teaching some beginner level lessons, effectively covering the cost of the certification for you. In fact, just teaching a couple of lessons a week can pay for the entire certification process. He wants to make the program as accessible to prospective voice teachers as possible.

The bottom line on cost is that you will be responsible for 10 hours of lesson time, and that's it! Contact us for current lesson prices. The price of just one lesson gets you started! There are no ongoing charges to keep your certification in force. Once you are certified, you are certified for life.

"I started studying with Eric after two years of minimal progress with another instructor. Within 6 months, I had significantly improved range, power, and flexibility. After 8 months, I was doing a sound check for a church performance. While balancing the voice and instruments, the engineer kept turning my microphone down until he finally switched off his equipment and said 'he doesn't need the microphone anymore'. Eric helps you improve by giving specific, targeted exercises rather than vague imagery. His direct approach to voice instruction allows you to improve quickly."

THE PROCESS

The process of becoming a Certified Voice Teacher isn't a complicated or expensive one.

To start the program, a prospective student simply set up an initial private teacher lesson with Eric Bruner. The very first teacher lesson with Eric will begin a process of voice teacher training that includes 10 hours of personal, 1-on-1 training with Eric, nearly two dozen hours of audio and video vocal training, and over three hours of training on setting up, marketing and running your private music lesson business.

Each of the lessons with Eric is recorded so you have all of the sessions to study and review in the future. You pay for each certification lesson as you go along, paying for just one lesson at a time rather having to pay for an entire program all at once. The certification program can be spread out over as much time as you want or need. There's no rush!

A syllabus guides you through program which will include 10 private 1-on-1 training sessions with Eric on focused lesson topics, over 24 hours of audio and video training, personal practice session assignments, incremental business building projects, and your own private teaching assignments.

After the completion of the program, you will receive a frameable certificate to hang on your studio wall to show your students that you've taken your teaching education seriously, and have been successful in completing this comprehensive voice teacher training program.

"As a performing artist you, want two things. The first is to perform consistently, at your very highest level, night after night. The second is to perform at this desired level in a relaxed manner, void of physical tension. Eric Bruner has the tools and experience that helped me accomplish these goals by teaching me to sing and speak with confidence, with the full range and power of my true voice. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish, and you will quickly notice, as I did, the benefits on stage and in your daily life."

Jeff Miller, Actor/Performer

"I perform regularly both here in the United States and in Cambodia. It's nice to be able to get my lesson time in with Eric whether I'm in the states or out of the country. It's like having a vocal coach who travels with me!"

Amara Chinn, singer/actress

"Eric, I just wanted to tell you that although I've only had two lessons with you, I have applied the advice you have given me to the shows I've been doing lately and I've made a lot of progress. I have been singing less hard and concentrating on 'pure' singing and the results have been great!"
